Florida Stars Invade East Lansing

This weekend could very well set the tone for the rest of the Spartan recruiting class. Several top Florida Stars will be on hand for official visits. There are also a couple of Midwest stars making visits this weekend as well.

This weekend in East Lansing is a huge weekend for the obvious reasons. Archrival Michigan comes calling with their #4 BCS ranking. Throw the records out the window when the Spartans and Wolverines get together for a four quarter battle.

Michigan State already has one of the best recruiting classes in the Big Ten. This weekend, the Spartans will play host to some of the nations top prep talent and most of the recruits are from the Sunshine State.

A handful of Florida's top prospects will make their way to East Lansing this weekend. Devin Aromashodu, a wide receiver from Miami (Miami Springs), Lonnie Davis, a tight end from Jacksonville (Ed White) and super cornerback, Terrell Walden from Miami (Edison) will all be making the trip north.

Also look for current verbal commit Ashton Watson from Dayton, Ohio to be on hand.

David Richard from St. Louis, (Mo) Hazelwood East is scheduled to be making his Michigan State official visit. Richard is among the nations finest prospects and he's a clone of current Spartan tailback, T.J. Duckett.

More important prospects from Florida making Michigan State official visits this weekend will be defensive lineman, Chris Turner from Jacksonville (Ed White). Turner is the teammate of Lonnie Davis.

Hard hitting safety, Nate Salley from Ft. Lauderdale (St. Thomas Aquinas), defensive lineman, Davin Joseph from Hallandale and Miami (Edison) linebacker Nate Harris.

I thought I'd save the best for last. Super Midwest wide receiver, Matt Trannon will be among the top recruits visiting the Spartans this weekend.

Trannon, also a very good basketball player, has Michigan State and Michigan among his top choices.

The weather in East Lansing, Michigan this Saturday calls for mostly sunny skies and a temperature in the mid 50's. A perfect fall afternoon for a classic rivalry football game and also a good weekend to host some of the nations finest recruits on official visits.

Michigan is a tough squad and they are legit. I feel the Wolverines should have beaten Washington and they should be undefeated. The atmosphere in East Lansing is going to be electric this weekend.

If the Spartans can pull of the upset, it will know doubt help their already outstanding recruiting efforts.
