Martin signs with MSU!

MSU gets the biggest recruit of all, senior tackle Roland Martin of Chicago who's father confirmed to <I></i> that Michigan State has gotten his services.

According to The's recruiting expert Chris Pool, Chicago Harper superstar tackle Roland Martin, ranked as one of the top offensive line prospects in the nation, will commit to Michigan State in an afternoon press conference.

Pool cites "reliable sources" close to Martin for his report. The 6-6, 340-lb tackle will make his collegiate choice known this afternoon at 4:00pm on ESPN. According to his father, John Harper, "it's a done deal, it's official. Martin becomes the 30th and best recruit of a sensational class for the Spartans.

Detroit St. Martin DePorres star Carl Grimes unexpectedly recommitted to Michigan State. At various points in his recruitment Grimes committed, de-committed and then finally re-committed this morning.

Joining the two standout players are Florida star linebacker Tyrone McKenzie.

McKenzie joined Hugh D'Imperio of Sewell, NJ as the Spartans 26th and 27th verbals, but hold the phone. MSU could get the biggest recruit of all, senior tackle Roland Martin of Chicago who confirmed to that he Michigan State is still in the mix.

"Everybody [is still in the mix]. Oklahoma, Michigan State, Tennessee and North Carolina State are still in it, Martin said earlier in the week. Now, I need to sit down and figure things out."

The Spartans are hoping that Martin will anchor their offensive line for the next four years before heading to an almost assured stop in the NFL.

The coaching staff at Michigan State will be watching, and cooking up another scholarship for what could be their biggest recruit of all.
