NJ quarterback commits to give Spartans six

Spartans grab NJ quarterback to lead class of 2005.

With several new offers on the table, Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School of Princeton quarterback Dom Natale decided he had the right place for himself and made a commitment last night.

"I did commit to Coach (Michigan State head coach John L.) Smith," says the 6-foot-2, 195 pounder. "They were really excited. They are pretty much done with the quarterback recruiting for this year, he said I am going to help them hopefully put together a top-ten class.

"I've been looking for that place, I mean that is why I have been taking so many trips because I've been looking to get it out of the way. But at the same time I wanted to make the right decision. After my trip out there, talking to a few coaches, I felt like it was the right fit for me. The Big Ten is a big opportunity right now, Coach Smith has some big goals, winning the Rose Bowl. I just thought I could help them out a lot in what they are trying to do right now."

Natale is done in his own recruitment, but he will try to help the Spartans as much as possible in this recruiting class.

"We are going to try to get the best class we can. I'll take my one visit to Michigan State and that is it."
