Smith has already visited Michigan State, West Virginia and Toledo and he has a couple of visits set for January.

Does Smith have a leader?

"West Virginia is my leader." Troy Smith said. "Just because of the fact that they have been with me from the jump (beginning). I like the coaching staff and it just seems like a family atmosphere.

I consider myself a drop back quarterback that's very mobile. I think I have a pretty strong arm. I can run an option offense but I'm more comfortable with being a drop back quarterback.

Coach Rodriquez has coached Woody Dantzler and Shawn King. He's a quarterback coach and that's also a plus for West Virginia."

Troy Smith has two very important visits left. He'll visit Ohio State (1-11) and Iowa (1-18) before making his decision.
