Jackson (MI) QB Antonio Bass (Ht: 6-2 Wt: 195 40: 4.4 #3 QB)

Antonio Bass is the No. 3 rated quarterback in the land according to Scout.com and he is scheduled to make an official visit to LSU this weekend when the Tigers host Alabama.

"He is supposed to be on your campus this weekend," Bass' grandmother told Tiger Rag.

The talented athlete already visited Virginia Tech (9/3) and he has a trip scheduled to Michigan the first weekend in December. Michigan State and Notre Dame will likely get his two final visits before he renders a decision.

----------------------- Philadelphia (PA) T Marques Slocum (Ht: 6-6 Wt: 335 40: 5.0)

After a trip through Big Ten land with stops at Michigan, Indiana, Notre Dame, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan State massive Philadelphia (Pa.) defensive tackle Marques Slocum (6-6, 335, 5.0) has narrowed the field down to eight.

The West Catholic lineman lists Michigan, Michigan State, Maryland, Virginia, Miami, North Carolina, LSU, and Oklahoma as the eight schools in which he is most interested. Slocum has taken unofficial visits to all of his favorites except LSU and Oklahoma. ----------------------- Detroit (MI) WR Talonnie Russell (5-11, 175, 4.4, Scout.com's #12 WR) now favors Wisconsin and Michigan State over LSU, North Carolina State and Minnesota.

"Wisconsin leads slightly for me right now," says Russell, from St Martin De Porres. "I like how they throw the ball a lot. And they've got a good business program there too. They spread out their WRs and they like to mix up their game.

"It's definitely a balanced effort they provide because they like to run and pass the ball. I've gotten to know coach (Henry) Mason (WRs) pretty well lately. He's a nice person and a funny guy.

"Michigan State falls in as my #2 school. They like to spread the ball out too with 4 WRs, and they move the ball to them well. I think they throw the ball a little more than Wisconsin. ------------------- Bayonne, NJ LB Jerome Hayes (6-2, 225,4.6)

Jerome Hayes has taken his time in recruiting until now, but with more time on his hands, he will start to set up the rest of his official visits soon.

"I haven't really paid much attention to it since the season started," says the 6-foot-2, 225 pounder who has two visits set already. "Yeah, Michigan State (12/10) and Miami (12/17), and I went to Florida (10/8). I'm not sure about the other two, well Rutgers is one of them, but I'm not sure about the other one."

With two visits in December, Hayes says he would like to make a decision on visits before the New Year, and hopefully a decision soon thereafter.

Freeport (N.Y) Corner Leslie Jackman(5-11 Wt: 175 40: 4.45)

Now that his senior season is in the books Freeport (N.Y) high school cornerback/wide receiver Leslie Jackman (5-11, 175, 4.45) can now focus on recruiting.

"I think we finished (6-2)," said Jackman "I'm not sure about my offensive stats, but I had five interceptions on defense."

Jackman has received written offers from Rutgers, Kansas State, Michigan State, Syracuse, and Indiana. Of the five offering schools one of them has jumped to head of the pack and will likely receive his first official visit.

"I will definitely visit Michigan State I am very impressed with them." ------------------------------- Princeton, NJ DT Lugman Abdallah (6-4 Wt: 285 40: 4.85)

The football career of Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School defensive tackle Luqman Abdallah (6-4, 305, 4.85) has been anything but ordinary. Last season Abdallah was a senior at Trenton (N.J.) Central high school who was receiving very little attention from any colleges. The young teenager was all set to embark on a football career at D-III Ursinus College, which is located in Collegeville (Pa.) until he had a change of heart.

"I was receiving no publicity at Central," said Abdallah "The day before I was supposed to head to Ursinus I got a phone call and decided to go to The Hun School."

People have definitely taken notice, especially college recruiters. Abdallah has received scholarship offers from Rutgers, Michigan State, and Hofstra. Meanwhile programs such as Virginia Tech, Louisville, Boston College, and Notre Dame have inquired about his services.

Currently Abdallah favors Virginia Tech, Michigan State, Louisville, Rutgers, Notre Dame, and Miami.

Abdallah has set official visits to Notre Dame on (12/3), and Michigan State on (12/10). --------------------------------

Philadelphia (PA) DT Derrell Hand (6-4 Wt: 305 40: 5.4)

West Philadelphia (Pa.) defensive tackle Derrell Hand was able to take his official visit to Michigan State over the weekend, and saw a huge upset victory by the Spartans over Wisconsin. Hand says the game was great to watch as a fan.

"It was good, it was great. It was a great family feeling. This was their last home game, so the stadium was packed and there was a whole lot of energy," says the 6-foot-4, 305 pounder. "There were a few times I thought about committing, but I plan on taking a few more visits to compare and see where my options are."

The number of options are going down as Hand will take four visits. With the Michigan State trip down, and trips to Miami and Wisconsin on the plate, Hand has one other school in mind.

"I'll only be taking the other one to Notre Dame. I don't think I'll be able to take one to Iowa. I haven't been able to set a date for (Notre Dame) yet, we have been back and forth."

Hand says he is trying to keep his options open to all the schools, and likes all of the schools on his list.
