Spartans nab two lineman to recruiting class

Michigan State added two offensive linemen to the fold today, making it 18 total commitments and four JC transfers.

(EAST LANSING) - Michigan State continues to add to an already highly successful recruiting season by adding two offensive linemen to their haul of 18 players in the 2005 recruiting season.

MSU today received verbal commitments from Brendon Moss, 6-foot-6, 260-pound guard, is a prep star from Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia and Kenny Shane, a junior college transfer from Pima Community College in Arizona.

Shane, a sophomore originally from Indianapolis, IN, joins his teammate Demond Williams who committed on Wednesday to the Spartans, because of his junior college status, he will likely be in the mix for immediate playing time as the Spartans revamp their offensive line, losing two starters to graduation.

Moss atttended the Virginia prep school to prepare for entrance into a major university after originally attending Saline (MI) high school and was a teammate of 2004 recruit Richard Abney, who will also attend Michigan State in the fall.

Moss could be a candidate to redshirt his freshman season, since MSU has several talented offensive linemen returning.
