MSU in hunt for top NJ back

"I plan on going to a combine in New Jersey this weekend," said Harris. "I also plan on visiting Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Boston College at some point this summer."

Jersey City, N.J.-- Standout running back Shariff Harris is starting to get his summer plans in order as he moves towards his senior season at St. Peter's Prep.

"I plan on going to a combine in New Jersey this weekend," said Harris. "I also plan on visiting Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Boston College at some point this summer."

The visits don't come as a surprise as Harris has named his leaders thus far. "Right now my top four are Boston College, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Michigan State. I don't want to go to school close to home," Harris went on to say.

Harris is also gaining some interest from some other schools around the country as well. "I also hear from UConn, Penn State, Syracuse, Rutgers, and a coach from Miami came up to see a spring workout with my team," Harris said.

"Coach (Mario) Cristobal came up to watch our spring conditioning practice. I also went down to Miami for a Junior Day on March 2nd. I am very interested in Miami."

Despite having some early leaders, Harris does not plan on making a decision anytime soon. "I want to take my time and make the right decision. I am going to take my visits and all that."

Until then, Harris will concentrate on the other aspect of college a bit. "I am taking some SAT classes right now and I take the SAT on June 3rd."
