Nichol looking to add some teammates at MSU

"Hopefully the Elite 11 thing will help convince some more players to come (to MSU). I want to play with the top players in the country," Nichol said.

The accolades keep rolling in for MSU commitment Keith Nichol, a senior at Lowell, MI high school. Nichol has been invited to attend the Elite 11 camp in San Juan Capistrono, California along with ten other top senior high school quarterbacks.

Also attending the camp will be some of Nichol's future Big Ten rivals including Ryan Mallett, a recent commitment to the University of Michigan and Notre Dame commitment Jimmy Clausen.

But more interesting to MSU fans is that Nichol intends to use the platform as one of the nation's top prep quarterbacks to add more prospects to Michigan State's roster.

He already has one target in mind, Muskegon receiver Ronald Johnson.

"Hopefully the Elite 11 thing will help convince some more players to come (to MSU). I want to play with the top players in the country," Nichol said.

Nichol added that he intends to graduate early so that he can jump in immediately at Michigan State.

"With Drew Stanton graduating, I want to get in, see if I can get on the depth chart early. It just makes sense."

Nichol and incoming freshman Connor Dixon figure to put MSU's quarterback depth chart on solid footing for a long time.
