...Nicholls State University recently played host to the Manning Passing
Academy and some soon-to-be rich young men attended the camp in
Thibodaux. But one player, who was a counselor, and will be cashing in on his
talent next year, is Michigan State
quarterback Drew Stanton
"Anytime you play the quarterback position you have some built in
pressure, but it is to win, not necessarily to carry the team on your back,"
Stanton said. "I have worked hard in the off-season to get better
timing with the receivers and improve my accuracy skills. It's all about
hitting your mark out on the field and not all about arm strength."
Stanton also talked about his experience working with both Eli and Peyton Manning in preparation for next year's NFL draft.
