Joel Holler Names Favorites

Joel Holler, a 6-foot-6, 335-pound, offensive lineman from Lancaster, Pennsylvania has narrowed his college choices to seven schools.

We've done several stories on 6-foot-6, 330-pound, offensive lineman Joel Holler. Holler is from Lancaster (Pa) McCaskey and he's one of the very best offensive line prospects in the nation.

Holler will be a four-year varsity starter for McCaskey. What sets Joel apart from other interior lineman is his tenacity. Holler is dominant, he plays to the whistle and the college recruiters just love his work ethic.

Ohio State, Penn State, Duke, Cincinnati, Michigan State and Miami have all offered scholarships. Michigan, Maryland, Northwestern, Pittsburgh and Illinois are also very high on Joel Holler.

"Northwestern, Purdue, Michigan State, Miami and Georgia Tech have all called so far." Holler said. "Georgia Tech said they will be meeting as a coaching staff in June to discuss scholarship offers and that I was one of the prospects that would be given serious consideration."

"My coach told me that Illinois is close to offering me a scholarship." Holler is listing Penn State, Michigan, Miami, Pittsburgh and Maryland as his favorites.

Joel Holler is a three-sport athlete. He participates in both track and basketball. Joel carries a 4.1 GPA in the classroom.

August 9, 2002 – Holler now reports

"I have offers from Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan State, Maryland, Duke, Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Illinois, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Georgia Tech and Temple." Holler said.

"Penn State, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan and Virgina Tech are the schools that I've narrowed it down too."

"There's really not a leader right now and I don't have any visits set up yet. I'll probably start setting up some official visits soon."

All favorites have offered except Michigan.
