Recruiting: Hot LB prospect visiting MSU

Stud linebacker who amassed an incredible 161 tackles, six sacks and twenty-three tackles for loss will visit East Lansing this weekend

Michigan State will get a visit this weekend from one of the top players in the state of Georgia, Dorian Wood of Austell (GA) South Cobb.

Wood amassed an incredible 161 tackles, six sacks and 23 tackles for loss as a senior at South Cobb. He helped lead his team to a stingy 8.8 points per game allowed.

Wood, who's favorite player is Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher, packs a punch just like the Bears star and was named the Georgia Defensive Player of the Year by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution

To date, Wood, a late bloomer, flew under the radar until his eye-popping stats and tape began to reach college recruiters. He has received offers only from Memphis has had interest from the Navy and a few Conference USA schools, but MSU sees a productive player who has major upside at 6-foot-2, 220-pounds.

Wood is part of a huge group of prep players visiting Michigan State this weekend.

Stay tuned to GSN as we profile them over the next few days.
