GSN talks to OL Parmenter about MSU visit

DETROIT - Craig Parmenter's visit to East Lansing may last a little longer than he expected.

GSN caught up with Parmenter as he awaited to find out if his flight back to New Jersey would leave on schedule. Ice storm warnings in the Greater Lansing area have played havoc with flight schedules.

Still, the big 6-foot-6, 250-pound offensive lineman said all in all he had a good time in East Lansing.

"It was really good actually until I found out that our flight might get cancelled."

"No I didn't commit, they didn't offer me. What they're going to do is they're going to come visit me again this week and they may offer me at that time," explained Parmenter.

"It's down to two schools right now, Bowling Green and Michigan State.

"The thing is if get a chance to play in the Big Ten, I would really like that. The MAC would probably be good too because things are a little more subtle and I might fit in there a little better."

Parmenter said he met highly touted quarterback prospect Matt Simms on his visit but that he never got a shot at playing against him because they were in different conferences.

The big man from Lakeland (Wanaque, NJ) Regional said that he was hosted this weekend by Rocco Cironi and jokingly said Cironi showed him a good time in East Lansing.

Finally, Parementer said he'll be waiting to see if an offer does indeed come from MSU. He says if they offer, he'll probably take a day to think it over, but in all likelihood, he'd probably take it.
