EAST LANSING - The surprising twists and turns surrounding the recruitment of Detroit Mumford corner Cedric Everson, a four-star standout, took another turn when GSN learned that Everson has switched his commitment to Iowa.

Scout.com's John Miller of Hawkeye Nation and Dave Berk of GoSpartans.net have learned that Everson will fax in his binding letter of commitment to Iowa City, not East Lansing as he had previously pledged.

Everson's recruitment has been a whirlwind. He early in the process committed to Georgia Tech, but quickly became disenchanted and reopened his recruitment.

He surprisingly visited East Lansing late week and appeared to have settled on Michigan State, making a verbal commitment to coach Harlon Barnett and MSU.

But today's developments change everything and Everson's fax is expected in Iowa City any moment.
