When talking about some of the top Southwest Ohio prospects that Division One College programs will be in hot pursuit of, look no farther than Northmont High School and their star offensive lineman Zebrie Sanders. At 6'6" – 270 lbs. Sanders has all the tools needed to find success at the next level.
The staff at Michigan State knows all about Sanders as they've been watching him since their days at the University of Cincinnati. Sanders caught the eye of Coach Harlon Barnett and today Sanders had the chance to call and talk with Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio. What did the Spartans head man have to say?
"Coach Dantonio told me the staff felt I would be a very good fit in their program. He stressed how in his program the team is a very tight group and they stay close together. He then told me Michigan State was offering me a full athletic scholarship to play football."
While Sanders has never had the chance to visit the MSU campus, he's heard about it from a couple of his teammates who happen to be related to a current Spartan.
"Kevin and Cory Ringer are teammates of mine at Northmont and they talk about Michigan State all the time. So I've heard some about it."
Sanders now holds seven official offers and is continuing to see his stock rise as spring combines and summer camp season is just around the corner.
GSN will continue to follow Sanders and his interest in MSU.
