Spartans Offer Tight End

GSN has learned of a new offer made by the Spartans staff today and it's no surprise this top notched tight end would be on the Spartans radar.

Last fall Mark Dantonio was able to draw Trotwood-Madison (Ohio) junior tight-end Brandon Moore onto the campus of the University of Cincinnati for an unofficial visit. The talented Moore was a target Dantonio and defensive back coach Harlon Barnett projected into one of the top players in their recruiting area for the Class of 2008. While the move to Michigan State may have changed the scenery it doesn't look as if the staff has changed it's feelings about the highly recruited Moore and made it official on Monday by offering Moore a scholarship.

With offers from the likes of Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma and Cincinnati already in the fold, Michigan State joins an every growing list that is expected to grow again this week.

Trotwood-Madison offensive coordinator Jeremy Beckham talked with GSN about the Spartans offer to his talented tight-end.

"We're very happy for Brandon and his family on the offer made by Coach Dantonio and his staff. The entire Spartans staff is made up of wonderful coaches and role models for young men. We know the type of coach and person Mark Dantonio is and the type of program he runs; we encourage our players to take serious consideration in programs like Michigan State because of a person like Mark Dantonio."

For the Spartans the offer to Moore is no surprise as he brings an athletic presence to the field and is able to create match-up problems by being able to stretch the field. Here are links to video clips of Brandon Moore.
