He has a big date circled on his calendar, June 9th, that is when he will go for an unofficial visit to East Lansing.
"They really liked what they saw of me on film," said the PSL standout, "but they want to see a little bit more. They want to see if I can catch the ball and how quick I am," he said.
Williams hopes that his visit to the campus will result in an offer from Michigan State.
"I really like the coaching staff, they are very energetic and enthusiastic," said Williams who admitted that he father would like to see him wear very different colors in college....the dreaded Maize-and-Blue.
"Yeah, he's a Michigan fan," joked Williams.
At just 5-foot-6, 160-pounds, some wonder if Williams is too small to take the pounding, but he points to other small backs who have been successful, not just on the Big Ten level, but also in the NFL.
He says his three criteria for selecting a school are "how I fit in with the coaching staff, the ability to play early on and academics. I would like to pursue a career in Sports Medicine," said Williams.
While he says he has no qualms with being redshirted, he doesn't want to have to wait until his junior or senior year to see the field.
GSN will have much more on this talented and intelligent standout in the coming days.
