"I got the MVP for top SPARQ rating," he reported, "I ran a 4.47 in the forty. I can run better, but this was the first time I had run it this year."
Coming into the camp, Ray already held offers from Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Bowling Green. But with his recent camp performances and more schools receiving his tape, Ray is also hearing from a number of college football powers who may be ready to extend an offer in the near future.
He also has had contact with his dream school and is waiting for that all important offer which will determine his course of action.
"I want to go to Miami-Fl, he said. I talk to the coaches there. I really want the scholarship offer, but I don't think I'll walk on there if I don't get one."
A large part of gaining more offers for Ray will be heading to several schools' camps this summer. The 5'9, 180-lb back will be traveling all over the east coast putting his skills on display.
"I'll be going to a lot of 1-day camps, Michigan, Michigan State, West Virginia and Miami."
Before that, Ray will have already been familiar with the staffs at those schools as in addition to text messages and letters, several coaches have already made the trek to Brother Rice and more are on their way.
