Minnesota WR Making A Comeback

Former Minnesota two-sport star is back on the scene after resurfacing at junior college in Kansas. Will Spartans renew their pursuit of former summer camp standout?

Coffeyville, KA wide receiver Bryant Williams, a native of Edina, MN is getting long looks from the Michigan State coaching staff.

Among the schools interested in Williams are Iowa, Nebraska and Texas Tech along with the Spartans according to a report in the St. Paul (MN) Pioneer Press.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound wide receiver/cornerback has received interest from the Spartans dating back to when he was at Edina High School, and had a strong performance at MSU's 2006 camp, but it appeared he didn't qualify for a scholarship.

He instead ended up at Coffeyville where he worked exclusively with the scout team. Williams is listed as a redshirt freshman, and is reportedly going to return to Coffeyville this season and then, if all goes well, transfer following the season to a four-year university.

MSU will have strong competition for his services from Nebraska which has two of Williams former Edina teammates on their roster, but he is said to have solid interest in the Spartans.
