Last season as a junior, Lum threw for 1,902 yards, 28 touchdowns with a 64.1% completion rate (111 of 173) in leading his team to the Oakland Athletic Association Division I championship with a 10-1 record.
For an encore, Lum is starring at third base for Lake Orion (24-5) on the diamond and his team is doing quite well heading into the regional playoffs this weekend in Oxford, MI.
He is looking forward to another stellar season in football this fall and despite his guady numbers he doesn't not have any offers at this point. When asked if he was surpised Lum said he was not.
"Not really, I've only been at a few camps this spring and I know that coaches want you to come to their one-day camps, to see what you look like in person, not just on film and not just from a few throws on a highlight tape," said the level headed senior.
"Coach Dan Enos is the recruiting coach for my area. He talked to my coach, Coach Bell and they're not sure if they're going to take a quarterback this year or maybe they might just take one. I'd love to be that one," said Lum.
He informs GSN that he has been up to MSU on at least two occasions for spring practice and for junior day and reports he "loves the campus, the facilities and that its a big time school."
He says his top five are Michigan State, Michigan, Central Michigan, Western Michigan and a tie between Eastern Michigan and Bowling Green.
GSN will keep its readers up to date on the latest with the recruiting of this talented senior.
