All State QB Chris Lum Updates Recruiting

Ruhland's teammate, quarterback Chris Lum who was one of just four juniors selected to the prestigious AP all-state first team, talked about what he's done in search of scholarship offers.

LAKE ORION, MI - After a solid appearance at Michigan State's youth football camp, one Lake Orion player was offered and accepted a scholarship to play for the Spartans - offensive lineman Ethan Ruland.

His teammate, quarterback Chris Lum who was one of just four juniors selected to the prestigious AP all-state first team, talked about what he's done in search of scholarship offers.

"I went to Michigan's (four-day camp) for two days and got a lot of reps there. They seem to focus on two other kids while I was there from out of state," said the strong armed signal caller.

"I also went to MSU on June 22nd and I thought I did pretty good. June 28th I went to Western (Michigan) again and thought I did pretty well also."

So what's up with offers and a potential top-five?

"I still have not received any offers yet. Western said to call them in a week to see where I stand with everything. I'm going to Akron on the 29th for a camp, and I might go to a couple of Ivy League camps like Harvard or Penn," said Lum.

Despite having no offers from area schools, Lum will be headed to the Top Flight QB camp in Grand Rapids which he says "will be good for me."

GoSpartans.net will continue to watch and follow the recruitment of the classy and productive senior to be as his recruitment unfolds.
