He was expected to make a decision today on his collegiate choice, but instead, Pannell has decided to put his decision on hold for a few days.
"I didn't (make a decision today). I had planned on making it today but I had talked with my mother and we pushed it back," said Pannell.
Pannell said he wanted to keep the reasons why he decided to push the date back private and GSN will respect his decision.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pounder said that "the way his mother feels" about the three schools will be a big part of his decision and "how comfortable I feel with the place and how I feel I fit in with the school," he said.
Pannell said he has not completely settled on a date when he will make his decision, but it could possibly be as early as Friday of this weekend.
Don't look for him to stage any kind of elaborate press conferences with school logo caps strategically placed on a table for him to don one. That isn't his style at all.
"I like to be kind of under the radar, that feels kind of show-offy to me," said Pannell.
"I will just call the coaches up and tell them my decision," said Pannell, adding that he doesn't need to take any more official visits, he's gotten all the information he needs.
GSN will keep tabs on this outstanding quality big man with hopes that he pulls the trigger for Michigan State.
