Fred Smith, a four-star wide receiver from Southeastern High School in Detroit, announced his intentions at 6:00 p.m. Sunday night. Smith picked Michigan State over rival Michigan.
After a long road of many twists and turns, Fred Smith, a four-star wide receiver from Detroit Southeastern High School has given a verbal commitment to attend Michigan State University.
Smith, the most heralded receiver to verbal to the Spartans since Charles Rogers announced his intentions of wearing the green and white, becomes the fourth verbal in the Spartans 2008 recruiting class.
"I'm going to Michigan State," Smith said at his press conference.
