Watch's Greg Powers interview with Klein, TX star defensive end John Youboty

EAST LANSING - The stands were filled with players interested in attending Michigan State University including some present commits as well as a few others on unofficial visits.

GSN caught up with a few and give you the latest on their interest in Michigan State:
John Youboty, DE- Klein, TX:
GSN talked with Youboty on Monday evening and he told us that he is preparing for the Bears(6-3) showdown with #18 ranked Klein Oak this Friday at 7:30pm and so he had to reschedule his official visit until after the season. MSU may not have to wait long since the 9-1 Jaguars are heavy favorites over the Bears.

Hamani Stevens, C/DT - Hemet, CA:
It doesn't appear that Stevens made his visit either. Calls to Stevens weren't immediately returned. We hope to hear back from him today or tommorow and will update his situation.

John Potter, K - Grand Haven:
Michigan State is looking to add a kicker to this class and Potter is among a group of players the Spartans are considering. He told's Allen Trieu, "MSU has a really nice campus, especially the older part. I did get to spend some time walking around before the game," he said, adding, "We were sitting right in front of where Javon Ringer reversed field on that long run he had, that was incredible." Trieu's article

Jerel Worthy, OL/DL - Huber Heights, OH:
We spotted Worthy right outside the tunnel after the Michigan/Michigan State game. While GSN is not allowed to conduct interviews at the stadium we heard Worthy, who noticed us, say to a family member that he can't wait to play in this game.

Mark Ingram, RB/DB - Flint Southwestern, MI
Ingram has narrowed it down to three programs, Michigan State, Iowa and Wisconsin. He has already set an official visit to Wisconsin and is in the process of setting up another to Iowa. Ingram was at the Michigan State/Michigan tilt and says MSU is still strongly in his top three.

Hamani Stevens - C/DT - Hemet, CA. It is believed that Stevens also rescheduled his visit and will be part of what is shaping up to be a big recruiting weekend for the Spartans on December 1. Michigan State wants players involved in playoff games to concentrate on their seasons and then visit MSU when the pressure is off. Stevens would be a huge get for Michigan State, he is one of the premier offensive linemen in the nation. He currently is said to favor Arizona State.

Fred Smith - WR/DB - Detroit Southeastern Smith has already given Michigan State a verbal commitment but recently their has been chatter about him wavering and becoming a decommit. MSU is doing everything in their power to prevent that. He is scheduled to attend the UM/Ohio State game. Stay tuned.

Glenn Winston - DT - Detroit Denby Winston is expected to be among those taking his official visit to East Lansing on December 1st. Winston's stock is on the rise. He was in attendance unofficially as a visitor at the MSU/UM game and while lining up official visits is said to be strongly considering his MSU offer.

GSN will have more on the recruiting front in the coming days.
