ScoutTV: Senior Wants to Leave in Style

"I guess the big thing is you want to leave Spartan Stadium with a good taste in your mouth. Beating a rival like Penn State … would be a great way to go out as a senior." – Senior Spartan offensive lineman Mike Gyetvai

EAST LANSING – Mike Gyetvai will take many memories from his career knocking defenders off the line at Michigan State.

The offensive lineman, who has helped the team this season by moving from tackle to guard, remembers beating a tough, Big Ten-leading, No. 4 in the nation Wisconsin team in 2004. He says that win was a memory those Spartan seniors will never forget.

Now it's his turn; beating the Nittany Lions this weekend, who have as good a defense as anyone in the country, would give departing seniors like Gyetvai something to hang their hats on, not to mention a likely bowl bid.

GSN caught up with the senior this week as he talked about recovering from a shoulder injury for his senior season, the tough battle approaching against Penn State and what a win against PSU would mean for seniors, the trials and tribulations of his career and much more.
