ScoutTV: Izzo Not Satisfied

"I can't say it felt like a 29-point win, mostly because it wasn't a 29-point win. It was a closer game than maybe the final score." – Coach Tom Izzo after the 80-51 win over Jacksonville.

EAST LANSING – Tom Izzo might not want perfection, but he's asking for something close.

Even after a 29-point blowout over Jacksonville, the Michigan State head coach wants his Spartans to be tougher, smarter and much better as the season inches closer to conference play.

At his postgame news conference, Izzo talked about a few positives, like Raymar Morgan and the guard play (23 assists out of 29 baskets), but laments the rebounding effort and the play of the big men and freshman.
