Gehres, who recently visited Florida State, came away impressed with the Seminoles, but didn't commit to the program.
At 6-foot-3, 190-pounds, he possesses good speed, at 4.5 and has shown the ability to make the big play. Despite catching on 29 balls, he turned those into over 1,000 yards receiving (1,110) and 13 touchdowns for the Trojans.
Talking about his Florida State visit Gehres said, "I'd give the visit a 6 or a 7. It was a good visit for me as I got many of my questions answered. I got a chance to see the program and really talk to the coaches. Over the next couple weeks I am going to talk to my parents and make a decision. I think I'll be deciding before Signing Day," he told NoleDigest.com.
Gehres said all his official visits are being coordinated through head coach Kurt Rice so he's deferring to him to help decide whether or not he'll head north, but with just over two weeks until National Letter of Intent Signing Day, he's drawn interest from Iowa and Georgia Tech.
