Florida DE Barr Next Up For MSU

"It's been crazy, Sharks coach Dan O' Regan told the St. Petersburg Times regarding the interest in Barr.

EAST LANSING - After dropping of Detroit King defensive end Nick Perry's top three for the first time all season, Michigan State is searching high and low for pass rushing talent.

Their search is now taking them to Western Florida's Riverview high school where they've uncovered 6-foot-4, 225-pound Quincy Barr GoSpartans.net has learned.

Barr, like fellow Floridian Rhonne Sanderson is the subject of a flurry of late interest after being a virtual unknown until the past two weeks when his highlight tape began to surface.

"It's been crazy, Sharks coach Dan O' Regan told the St. Petersburg Times regarding the interest in Barr.

The Spartans are now pouring over his highlight tape and trying to decide if they want to arrange for an official visit where they would extend an offer for his services.

O'Regan said MSU's coaching staff told him if they fly Barr up, they're going to offer.
