SPRING BALL: Narduzzi Breaks Down Defense

Without stars like Jonal Saint-Dic, Ogemdi Nwuagbuo, Ervin Baldwin and Kaleb Thornhill eligible for 2008, Michigan State announced their early depth chart for the spring practices which start next week.

Michigan State graduating football class participated this afternoon in a Pro Day combine-like performance for several NFL scouts and Spartans defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi was left to lament not having "one more year" with several players he loses to graduation.

Without stars like Jonal Saint-Dic, Ogemdi Nwuagbuo, Ervin Baldwin and Kaleb Thornhill eligible for 2008, Michigan State announced their early depth chart for the spring practices which start next week.

The starters at defensive end are Brandon Long and transfer Trevor Anderson, at tackle are Oren Wilson and Justin Kershaw. At linebacker MSU starts out with Greg Jones (SAM), Adam Decker (MIKE) and Eric Gordon (WILL) as the starters. In the secondary Kendell Davis-Clark (BC) and Ashton Henderson (FC) are the corners, Otis Wiley (SS) and Roderick Jenrette (FS) start along the backline.

Other notables are sophomore Antonio Jeremiah and freshman Ryan Wheat running with the twos and two redshirt freshmen, Todd Anderson and Jonathon Strayhorn backing up at the defensive end positions.

Narduzzi spoke with GSN's ScoutTV about the early movers and shakers in the MSU defense.
