ScoutTV: Dantonio Talks Spring Football

"Our goals basically, as a (spring football) program . . . are to develop the foundation of who we are," Spartan head coach Mark Dantonio said today. "That changes every year. We have to adapt to who we have as players, adapt our system a little bit, concentrate on our strengths, feature certain players . . ."

EAST LANSING – "The game is played from the ground up, with bent knees and power positions." Those words of Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio, spoken today at the spring kickoff news conference, are music to Spartan fans' ears.

While March may simply mean games on the hardwood to many Green and White fans, devotees of everything pigskin have a chance to feast at the table of college football for the first time since a bitter loss to Boston College in the Champs Sports Bowl. GSN was there to see Dantonio share his earliest of thoughts on his second season as the leader of MSU's gridiron warriors.
