ScoutTV: Draft Day for Spring Game

The Green and White are ready to rumble. Draft day for the Michigan State spring game was a rousing event with bickering, wheeling-and-dealing, and general good fun. Click through for shots of the mayhem and reactions from players . . .

EAST LANSING - And with the first pick of the draft, the Green team selects . . . Greg Jones, MIKE linebacker from Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Spartan spring game draft, a boisterous affair filled with strategy, wheeling-and-dealing, and plenty of shouting, settled (mostly) the rosters for the annual Green and White game this Saturday. Seniors were divvied up in a prior draft and they colluded with coaches to choose their respective teams.

Jones joins the Green squad, led by the likes of Jesse Miller and Otis Wiley. They were advised by defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi and O-line coach Dan Roushar.

Newcomer Trevor Anderson came off the board first for the White, headed by Brian Hoyer and Justin Kershaw, who received plenty of guidance from linebackers coach Mike Tressel.

Other Green notables: Rocco Cironi, Andre Anderson, Kirk Cousins, freshman Tyler Hoover, Charlie Gantt, Eric Gordon, Josh Rouse, Jon Misch, and Kevin Pickelman.

Other White notables: A.J. Jimmerson, Nick Foles, Chris L. Rucker, Antonio Jeremiah, Oren Wilson, Roderick Jenrette, Adam Decker, Brendon Moss, and freshman Johnny Adams.

. . . of lots of lively bargaining, a little bickering, and hear from Hoyer, Miller and Brandon Long.
