Cleveland Glenville regularly produces top-notch BCS talent, and next year will be no different. Jonathan Newsome is just one such prospect numerous Big Ten schools are recruiting.

"Michigan State is one of the schools I'm looking at," he says.

Newsome adds he's presently hearing from Ohio State, Illinois and Indiana the most, and he holds offers from all the schools mentioned.

"I don't have a top-five as of now," he says. "I guess my top-five will come when I decide to take those visits.

"Right now I mostly like Ohio State and then behind that maybe Indiana," he says. "But I do know I like Michigan State – it's funny how you called me because I've always said Michigan State is one of the schools I like."

Coach Narduzzi leads the recruitment of a few Glenville players and Newsome hit it off with him.

"He came to our school," Newsome says. "He's a cool person, man. The thing about him is he's real tight with (Glenville head) coach (Ted) Ginn.

"A lot of coaches just come to the school and sometimes they don't even speak to him. I don't like that. I like coaches to have a relationship with my high school coach. He's like a father to me."

Newsome, who will likely hold off a decision until after official visits, maxes out at 315-pounds on the bench and reps 325-pounds 15 times on the squat. He runs a 4.7 in the 40.

And over the summer, Newsome plans on participating in the Ted Ginn Sr. Bus Tour, where elite prospects, through invitation only, take a two-week road trip around the Midwest, stopping at Big Ten, MAC, and a few other schools.
