"I really didn't know what to expect," the Spartan offensive/defensive line prospect said. "It was a great experience seeing all those players and trainers come out."
The camp, held at Ohio State last Friday, attracted some of the Midwest's finest, including many MSU targets such as Alex Andrus, Cameron Gordon, Charles Chapman, Zac Matthias and Shamari Benton, among others.
"I thought I did real well," McCord said, pointing to his ability to catch on fast.
"The coaches there, they showed us different techniques, so we had to learn them real quick, and then we had to do them."
"It's kind of quiet right now, because I'm still waiting till June when I go to the one-day camps," he said. "That's basically what's going to determine whether I get a scholarship or not.
"A lot of schools tell me their real interested and they want me to come to their one-days, see what I can do."
The MSU staff has invited McCord to a one-day camp in late June and requested he workout on both the offensive line and defensive line. He'll be in East Lansing, ready to give his customary 200%.
