Flint Powers Sanders Getting Looks

In April 2008, Sanders averaged 24.5 points per game in five games at the Grand Rapids Storm tournament in Grand Rapids. He had games of 30 and 24 against the West Michigan Lakers and Michigan Mustangs, respectively.

FLINT - Flint Powers Catholic guard Demarco Sanders is getting a lot of love from area schools. Sanders who is hearing from Oakland University, Michigan State and Central Michigan, reports that he's getting interest from out of state schools also.

"I've been hearing from Central Michigan, Michigan State and Oakland University," said Sanders who says that are also out of state schools interested in him.

"I've got some interest from LSU, Drake, Wake Forest, Marquette and Texas Tech, also," said the junior guard who played AAU ball this summer with the Mid-Michigan Lakers.

At 6'2", 175-pounds, Sanders is able to create his own shot, catch and shoot and even break a defender down off the dribble. Sanders led Powers to the State Class B Championship game and now, coming back as a junior is getting a lot of love from teams all over the state.

Sanders will visit Central Michigan this week when the Chips host Buffalo this weekend and promises to update GSN when he schedules a visit to Michigan State.
