EAST LANSING - Michigan State is intent on adding pass rushing talent to their recruiting class.

The Spartans have zeroed in a few prospects who they believe will make an impact on a defensive line that over the past two years has lost some top talent including Jonal Saint-Dic, Ervin Baldwin and following the Capital One bowl, Brandon Long.

Trevor Anderson is MSU only returning pass rusher (eight sacks) who recorded more than two for the Spartans in 2008.

MSU is now expecting a visit from defensive lineman Deion Roberson of Tucker, GA. Roberson has an MSU offer to go along with one from, Louisville (where he is visiting this weekend) NC State, West Virginia and Maryland.

He is in the same situation as current hot target Dion Sims, a DE/LB from Orchard Lake St. Mary (MI). Roberson suffered a dislocated ankle and missed the entire season, just like Sims. Despite that the Spartans have interest in both.

MSU expects a visit from Roberson tenatively the week of January 9th but that may change depending on Roberson's schedule.

Others expected to visit the week of January 9th: Livonia Clarenceville LB Jeremy Gainer, Detroit Country Day WR Bennie Fowler, Ypsilanti WR Donald Spencer, Orchard Lake St. Mary's DE/LB Dion Sims and Roberson.
