Linebacker Sets Michigan State Visit

One of the top linebacker prospects on the East Coast has set up four official visits in January. He'll be in East Lansing at the end of the month.

"I have three official visits set for January," said linebacker Jameel McClain.

"I'm going to Syracuse (1-17), Temple (1-24) and Michigan State (1-31). I don't have a leader right now. I'm going to take my visits and make a decision.

"Wisconsin and West Virginia are still in the picture."

McClain, a 6-foot-2, 240-pounder, from Philadelphia (Pa.) George Washington is a three-year varsity starter that was named all-state in 2002.

During his sophomore and junior seasons, McClain played center and defensive tackle. He was moved to fullback and linebacker this year and he projects as a linebacker at then next level.

McClain made 111 tackles and forced four fumbles this season.
