Michigan State recently put two offers on the table to the cream of the Midwest and really there were no surprises.
The Spartans offered a scholarship to Flint Powers Catholic point guard Patrick Lucas-Perry, who is without question, the top point guard in the class.
Lucas-Perry's performance in Powers' upset win over previously undefeated and ranked #7 in the nation Detroit Country Day, put him on the map to even those who mildly observe Michigan high school basketball.
The 5-foot-10 star scored 29 points including 11 straight pressure-packed free throws to give Powers the win, en-route to the State Championship.
The coaching staff absolutely loves Lucas-Perry as evidenced by this early offer.
At 6-foot-9, Price could easily get to 6-foot-10 or 6-foot-11 before he graduates. He already holds offers from Michigan State, Ohio State, Wake Forest, Akron and Wisconsin. If Lucas-Perry is target #1, then Price is #1-A with good reason. He has excellent footwork and is money in the post.
While he has drawn comparison's to Roe, Price is breaking out of Roe's shadow and looking to start a legacy of his own.
If he continues to work on his jumper to go with his inside prowess and rebounding ability, the sky's the limit for this talented star.
