GSN has confirmed that 6-foot-8 junior forward Percy Gibson, 6-foot-7 swingman Brandan Kearney (both of Detroit Southeastern) and 6-foot-3 guard Ray Lee of Dearborn Heights Robichaud will all be in attendance for the Spartans opener.
Lee confirmed that he will be their just to relax and get a look at the 2009 Spartans football squad. Lee projects as one of the top guards along with Flint Powers guard Patrick Lucas-Perry, who will also be in attendance. Lucas-Perry is one of the programs top targets for 2011 and his attendance there will be huge.
One of the state's top players, 6-foot-4 swingman Brandan Kearney of Detroit Southeastern. Kearney was believed to be close to committing to Michigan earlier this year, instead is now "wide open" and expecting to get even more interest as time goes no. Kearney will be at Michigan State where the coaching staff has shown him major "love."
Finally, leading the contingent is 6-foot-8 power forward Percy Gibson, a teammate of Kearney's will also be in attendance for the contest.
Gibson is one of a group of forwards for the 2011 class that MSU is looking at intently. Gibson already has a scholarship offer from MSU. Two other player expected to be in attendance, but uncofirmed of that group are Lansing Eastern star LaDontae Henton and Detroit Country Day forward Amire Williams .
GSN has just confirmed that Saginaw's Tommie McCune will definitely be in attendance as well.
One wildcard in the recruiting visits could be Markus Crider, 6-foot-6 forward from Huber Heights (OH) Wayne, the same school that produced current Spartans offensive lineman Jerel Worthy. It is unknown whether Crider will be in attendance.
GSN will have post visit interviews with all and more on our conversation with Percy Gibson and Brandan Kearney on Saturday.
