Illinois Prospect Will Visit State

One of Chicagoland's finest athletes will be visiting Michigan State this weekend. Have the Spartans offered a scholarship?

"He's on a retreat for school right now and will be back in a couple of days.

"This weekend we're going to Michigan State on an official visit and we're planning on visiting Iowa as well.

"Neither school has offered a scholarship yet but the fact that they want us to come on a visit is encouraging news."

Walker, a 6-foot-3, 220-pounder, from Mundelein (Ill.) Carmel was a three-year varsity starter and was extremely underrated in 2002.

Walker has the ability to be a solid producer on the Big Ten level. He's also a major league baseball prospect (cathcher) and will get drafted this summer.
