Georgia linebacker to visit MSU during weekend

One of Georgia's finest linebackers will be visiting Michigan State this weekend, but Spartans' head coach John L. Smith and staff will have to impress the young recruit if they hope to land him. The 23rd ranked linebacker in the country is eyeing several schools, and might opt to stay close to home.

"I'm going to Michigan State this weekend," said Larry White, one of the nation's top linebackers. "They've offered me a scholarship. I also visited UT-Chattanooga on 1-17, and they're probably my favorite right now. I like them because they are close to home. They are recruiting me to play linebacker."

White also likes Clemson and Georgia, two schools that have both offered White a scholarship.

If State lands White, who can also play safety, they would like to pair him with recruiting hopeful Lamarr Woodley. White, along with Woodley, will likely wait until signing day to make a decision.
