Spartans bang out two more recruits!

Michigan State and Spartans' football head coach John L. Smith seem to be on a warpath as signing day approaches. The team wrapped up two more 'verbals' during the week, increasing their total to 15 (16) total commitments. Find out information on these two players now!

The Spartans continue to bang out recruits as National Signing Day closes in.

John L. Smith and company got two more verbal commitments from OL Mike Gyetvai and DE Darryl Melvin to push the tally up to 15 (16).

SpartansInsider.com writer Mike Fowler reported earlier Thursday that Gyetvai and Melvin were close to signing with MSU.

Gyetvai comes to MSU from Windsor, Ontario where he played at Sandwich (LaSalle) High School. The 6-foot-6, 300-pounder is the fourth offensive linemen to be added to the Spartans roster.

Gyetvai's brother, Dan, plays offensive line for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.

Melvin comes to MSU out of New York. The 6-foot-6, 245 pound defensive end played for the Lions of Nassau Community College in Garden City, NY. Last season Melvin amassed 12 sacks and was earned 2002 NJCAA All-American 2nd team honors.

He will have junior eligibility when he comes to East Lansing.
