DETROIT - Detroit Southeastern star swingman Brandan Kearney has set a decision date of November 3 to make his collegiate decision and many believe it will be Michigan State.

Kearney recently told Scout.com's Dave Telep that Michigan State has emerged as his leader. "Michigan State leads," said Kearney. Their coach (Tom Izzo), he's not only recruiting me, he's recruiting my family and that's his tactic and I think it's a great tactic."

Kearney would be an outstanding get for the Spartans. A four-star prospect and ranked the 9th best player at his position in the country, Kearney was a member of the USA Basketball U16 team national team that won the World Championships.

He has offers from Florida International, Michigan, Syracuse, Oklahoma, Florida, Tennessee, Minnesota and Kentucky, all who will no doubt be watching and waiting on the 3rd when he makes his decision.
