UPDATED - Multiple sources have confirmed that Adriean Payne has committed to Michigan State this evening. GoSpartans.net is efforting an interview with Payne tonight

Dayton Jefferson forward Adreian Payne will make his college decision known tonight in a press conference on ESPNU, GoSpartans.net has learned.

Additionally, he will decide between two schools, Michigan State and West Virginia. Payne has not spoken to the media and calls and texts to his high school coach Art Winston have not been immediately returned.

Know this, if Payne commits to MSU, it will turn their 2010 recruiting class into one of head coach Tom Izzo's best ever.

Payne was shown considerable love from the West Virginia faithful, but in doing so, they may have committed NCAA secondary violations.

The "Mountaineer Maniacs", the student section at West Virginia had t-shirt printed stating "House of Payne", and large signs emploring Payne to come to West Virginia were in plain sight during his on-campus visit for Midnight Madness. These are violations of NCAA rules governing recruitinG, but the sanctions are not severe for these kinds of violations.

One West Virginia player took the microphone and walked and pointed in Payne's direction before being scurried away by a WVU assistant coach. Payne could be seen videotaping all the love that the West Virginia faithful showed him.

Just one week later, however, several MSU students reported on various message boards as seeing Payne "enjoying himself and having a great time" at the Michigan vs. Iowa last week.

While these reports cannot be confirmed, the fact that so many "eyewitnesses" are repeating the same sighting is interesting.

If true, these would have Payne on campus unofficially for a second time in a three-week period.

That would give credence to rumors that began flying shortly after the Iowa game that Payne gave MSU a verbal commitment, but went dark with the media in order to keep his choice secret until tonight's press conference.
