SpartansInsider.com has learned that top linebacker recruit Lamarr Woodley, along with teammate Jerome Jackson, plans to attend the University of Michigan. Woodley had just recently narrowed his school choice down to two.
Woodley, ranked #1 nationally by TheInsiders.com, chose Michigan after an excellent visit on January 24th with Wolverines' head coach Lloyd Carr. His mother had told GoWolverine.com at the time that she was behind any decision her son made, but she "liked Michigan."
MSU was relying heavily upon Woodley to enhance a rather limited recruiting class, and will now depend on possible commitments from linebacker recruits Nate Harris and Anthony Rogers to shore up their 2003 class.
