Spartans Roundball Recruiting Update

What's going on with the Michigan State basketball recruits? is the only web site tracking them for you! Updated are three players from the 2003 class, and two from the 2004 class. Read how they performed now!

Roundball Recruits

2003 Class

Shannon Brown – 6’3" 190 lbs. SG (Proviso East High School, Maywood, Ill.). The Pirates improved to 18-1 thanks to Brown’s 21 points in their 64-62 win over No. 13 Downers Grove South on Saturday night. Proviso East returns to action on Friday against Leyden.

Brandon Cotton – 6’0" 170 lbs. PG (Detroit St. Martin DePorres, Southfield, MI). Detroit DePorres chalked up another win with a 66-55 victory over Pontiac Notre Dame Prep on Tuesday night. Cotton scored 22 points and improved DePorres’ record to 14-0 on the year.

Drew Naymick – 6’10" 224 lbs. F/C (North Muskegon High School, Muskegon, MI). The Norsemen were not in action on Tuesday, but will return to action on Friday night against Ravenna.

2004 Class

Drew Neitzel – 5’11" 165 lbs. PG (Wyoming Park High School, Wyoming, MI). The Vikings didn’t let their loss to South Christian last Friday get in the way as they edged Unity Christian 67-63 on Tuesday. Neitzel led all scorers with 32 points. The Vikings improved to 9-4 on the year.

Marquise Gray – 6’7" 215 lbs. PF (Flint Beecher High School, Flint, MI). Flint Beecher lost a tight one to Corunna 54-53 on Tuesday night. Corunna is the 10th ranked Class B team in the state. Gray finished with 15 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Buccaneers, who fell to 10-4.
