The four schools were holding their collective breaths after White had set a Christmas break announcement date, but that has been put on hold indefinitely.
"I don't know when I'm going to make (my decision) now," White told GoSpartans.net yesterday evening.
But he need not worry, Michigan State will be waiting when he decides. White is one of two running backs, along with Westland (MI) John Glenn's Jeremy Langford that MSU has offered and that they still are awaiting a decision on.
Earlier this week, Taravella (FL) running back Devon Wright decided to commit to Minnesota and it appears that two-time Mr. Football, Erick Howard of North Canton (OH) Hoover will likely go the prep school route and come back on the MSU radar a year from now.
But good news for the Spartans, "Michigan State is still in it," White confirmed to GoSpartans.net
So while the Spartans may have to wait a little longer, White is the kind of back worth waiting on. He rushed for 979 yards on 102 carries for a 9.6 yards per carry average during the regular season and went over the 1,000 yard mark as he carried the Raiders to the State Championship before falling to Bradenton (FL) Manatee.
GoSpartans.net will keep tabs on White to see if he can give them the breakaway back they're looking for to team with Chelsea's Nick Hill for depth in the offensive backfield.
