GSN was eager to hear how Phoenix (AZ) Mountain Pointe tackle Alex Lewis felt about his first visit to the Midwest after receiving a scholarship offer from Michigan State. "It went great," said Lewis of his visit and now says he'll announce his decision either on National Signing Day, February 3, 2010 or a week from today when he takes his last official visit to UNLV who recently offered him.

Lewis said he loves the MSU and campus and the way the school is laid out.

"I thought the campus was great, I loved the landscape and the layout and how everything was so close together with the Sports Complexes (the Breslin, Spartan Stadium and the Skandalaris Center). I thought that was pretty cool."

So what are the coaches saying to Lewis about how he could fit into the program?

"Actually they'll telling me that I could long snap and they have a senior long snapper so I could possibly get on the field quickly as a long snapper. I would redshirt my first year and get on the field as a long snapper my redshirt freshman year," said Lewis.

So what's stopping him from committing to the Spartans?

"I'm going to take my visit next week to UNLV like I promised and then I'm going to decide."

GSN will be in touch to let you know what happens with this solid offensive line prospect.
