Hamilton Talks About Spartans

Florida defensive back Corian Hamilton is starting to see his recruiting pick up steam. While the Spartans got on board early in the process, they are starting to see some competition as the 6-foot-1, 210-pound safety prospect has seen several new offers over the past few weeks.

In the Class of 2011 the Michigan State Spartans are going to be looking to fill a few shoes in the defensive backfield. Can the Spartans get Corian Hamilton of Orlando (FL) Olympia High School to leave the confines of the Sunshine State for East Lansing?

"I plan on visiting but not sure when that might be," Hamilton said by phone. "I really liked the feel I got from the coach who is recruiting me as he was cool and really laid back with me. Michigan State is a very good football program and a program I could see myself leaving Florida to attend."

With nine offers on the table Hamilton has yet to find a leader.

"It's too early for me right now in the recruiting process to have a top team I need to see more." Hamilton knows he's got work to do and talked about the areas he's working on.

"Ball hawking and getting after the ball are my strengths but I need to work on all of my techniques to become a better player."

While it's too early to count Hamilton out getting him on campus for a visit will go a long way in helping Michigan State be a team he takes more serious.
