While most feel Miller will pledge at some point to Ohio State, Jones becomes a player the Spartans could look hard to adding in their class.
So what makes Jones such a talent to where the Spartans would take a second signal caller? Spartan Digest broke down Jones film and has the following reasons.
On film Jones shows a lot of raw talent but has the physical size you look for at the quarterback position. His arm strength is above average and he's still getting a feel for touch and accuracy.
Jones is not as polished as Braxton Miller, but the tools are there for Jones to become as good as Miller at the college level with more coaching.
A great athlete, Jones can tuck the ball and run with big gains.
While Jones struggled early during his junior season, he came on towards the end helping Glenville make the state championship game.
The ceiling is high for Jones and if the Spartans can pull him out of the Glenville program it will open a door at the dominate Ohio State pipeline. But if Ohio State offers, don't be surprised with Jones follows the path of many Glenville players and signs with the Buckeyes.
