Corian Hamilton Talks About MSU

Florida safety prospect Corian Hamilton is not shy about his willingness to look outside of his home state if he finds the right fit. SpartanDigest.com spoke with Hamilton to get the latest on his recruiting.

Mark Dantonio and his staff continue to scour the country looking for the right players to help the Spartans win a Big Ten Championship. Corian Hamilton is listening as his offer list continues to grow with out of state programs.

"It really doesn't matter if it's close to home or not," Hamilton told SpartanDigest.com. "My first thought was about staying close to home. But I started getting offers from out of state schools and I'm just trying to find a school that will make me get after it on and off the field."

While he's never visited Michigan State, there are plans to make a trip north.

"I've never visited Michigan State and really don't know much about them. I hope to visit this summer when I'll be making some trips with Deon (Green)."

A high school safety, Hamilton also knows a position change could come at the college level.

"I could be a safety, but I could also be an outside linebacker. Right now I'm just trying to get through my junior year and spring practice."

With an offer list growing each week, Hamilton has plans for his college studies and what he feels need improvement on the field.

"Right now I'm looking at studying sports administration. On the field I feel I need to work on my footwork. My strength is reading the quarterback and making plays."

SpartanDigest.com will continue to follow Corian Hamilton in the coming weeks.
