SD Ranking: #62

Donald Spencer

Position: Wide Receiver

Exp: Redshirt Freshman

With a year and a half in the program under his belt, Donald Spencer has already seen a position change back to wide receiver from safety. At 6-foot-2, Spencer has the height you want from a receiver but lacks the experience on the field.

Strengths: Solid athlete with great upside.

Weakness: Game experience at the college level.

Overall: Spencer should now be ready to show some of his abilities on special teams. While there are plenty of other receivers ahead of him on the depth chart, he needs to continue working hard until his chance comes.

Why He Made The List: Provides solid depth at the receiver spot (X) who should continue to grow and build upon what he's already learned. Will not push for starting time, but should be pushing to where his stock is higher come next spring. Very important year for his overall development.
